Why Maleny gets it fresh

Grazing country is not the same as choice

Maleny sits in the Blackall Range, in the middle of some of the best dairy and grazing country in Queensland, which makes it a curious place to be delivering beef into. But living near cattle and being able to buy named, graded, marble-scored beef over a counter are different things. Most of what is raised in the hinterland goes to processors and is sold on somewhere else entirely.

What we offer is not proximity. It is knowing the farm, the feed type and the grade before you pay, at a flat $30 that does not surcharge the postcode.

Cut to order after you buy

Nothing is pre-cut and waiting. Your order is broken down, trimmed and vacuum sealed at Thomastown once you place it, then packed with chilled gel packs into an insulated liner rated to hold safe temperature for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours after it lands. Chilled, never frozen, with up to 10 weeks of refrigerated shelf life from packing while the seal is intact.

Named producers, stated grades

Cape Grim and Bass Strait supply 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from Tasmania. OBE Organic runs certified organic cattle in the Channel Country. Stone Axe, Shimo, Margaret River and King River cover Wagyu. Every cut is MSA graded, hormone free and antibiotic free. For the rest of the state, see the Queensland delivery page.

How long does delivery take to Maleny?

Why order beef into dairy and grazing country?

Is there a surcharge for the hinterland?

No. Maleny pays the same flat $30 as a capital city address.

Do I need to be home?

No. The insulated liner and chilled gel packs hold safe temperature for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours on the doorstep. Leave it somewhere shaded.

How long will it keep?
