How Queensland delivery works

Orders are butchered to order in Melbourne, cryovac sealed and sent north in an insulated box with chilled gel packs. We dispatch Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a 12pm cut-off, and Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast addresses receive their order 3 to 5 business days after that. Far north and western Queensland adds 1 to 2 days.

Heat is the obvious question this far north. The answer is the cryovac seal and the cold chain rather than speed: the packaging holds safe temperature for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours on your doorstep, and sealed beef carries up to 10 weeks of refrigerated shelf life.

Queensland orders from the coast, not the city

Our busiest Queensland locations are Blacks Beach near Mackay, Mermaid Waters and Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, Maleny in the hinterland and Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. All of them order more than Brisbane City does.

That tracks with what the range is for. Coastal and hinterland households entertain more, cook bigger cuts and have fewer options for buying Cape Grim or full blood Wagyu locally.

What we deliver to Queensland

The full range ships north: 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from Cape Grim, Bass Strait, OBE Organic and Greenham, grain-fed Wagyu from Stone Axe, Shimo, Margaret River and King River running MB4 to MB9+, Tasmanian and Victorian lamb, free-range pork and bacon, and a small seafood range.

For barbecue weather, brisket, short ribs, rump cap and tomahawks do the most work. Every product page states the producer, the feed type and the marble score.
