Port Macquarie places more orders with us than any individual Sydney suburb. That is not an accident of the numbers. Regional customers usually have the worst access to named, graded beef and the most freezer space, and a flat $30 that does not surcharge distance changes the maths completely for them. A city customer saves a trip. A Port Macquarie customer gets access to producers who are simply not sold locally.

Packed for a longer leg

The mid north coast run takes 3 to 5 business days after a Monday, Wednesday or Friday dispatch, so the packing has to do more work than it does on a Melbourne delivery. Everything is cryovac sealed and packed with chilled gel packs into an insulated liner rated to hold safe temperature for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours once it lands. Chilled, never frozen.

Cryovac gives up to 10 weeks of refrigerated shelf life from packing while the seal stays intact, which is why regional orders tend to be large. Order once, properly, rather than little and often.

Named producers, stated grades

Cape Grim and Bass Strait supply 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from Tasmania. OBE Organic runs certified organic cattle in the Channel Country. Southern Ranges, Greenham and Angus Pure cover the grass-fed premium end, and Stone Axe, Shimo, Margaret River and King River cover Wagyu.
