Why Safety Bay gets it fresh

Rockingham and the coast south of Perth

Safety Bay sits on the coast at Rockingham, south of the Perth metro core. Transit is 3 to 5 business days after a Monday, Wednesday or Friday dispatch, at the same flat $30 charged everywhere in Australia, with no surcharge for being outside the inner suburbs. The 12pm cut-off is Melbourne time, so order the night before to be certain of a run.

Packed to sit in the sun

Every cut is cryovac sealed and packed with chilled gel packs into an insulated liner rated to hold safe temperature for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours after delivery. Leave a shaded drop-off instruction at checkout; on the WA coast in February that margin is worth having. Chilled, never frozen, with up to 10 weeks of refrigerated shelf life from packing while the seal is intact.

Named producers, stated grades

Cape Grim and Bass Strait supply 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from Tasmania. OBE Organic runs certified organic cattle in the Channel Country. Stone Axe, Shimo, Margaret River and King River cover Wagyu. Every cut is MSA graded, hormone free and antibiotic free, with the producer, feed type and marble score on the product page. How long does delivery take to Safety Bay?

Three to five business days after dispatch. The 12pm cut-off is Melbourne time, so 9am or 10am in Perth.

Is there a surcharge south of Perth?

No. Safety Bay pays the same flat $30 as any other address in Australia.

Will it still be cold in summer?

Yes, but leave a shaded drop-off instruction at checkout. The insulated liner and chilled gel packs are rated for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours on the doorstep.

Can I order in bulk?

Yes. Cryovac holds up to 10 weeks refrigerated from packing while the seal is intact, and the flat rate does not scale with weight.

Is the beef delivered frozen?

No, chilled and never frozen unless you request it.
