How Western Australia delivery works

Orders are butchered to order in Melbourne, cryovac sealed and packed in an insulated box with chilled gel packs before heading west. We dispatch Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a 12pm cut-off, and Perth metro receives its order 3 to 5 business days after that. Regional WA adds 1 to 2 days.

Delivery is still a flat $30. Getting a chilled box across the Nullarbor costs us far more than a Melbourne suburb does, and we have chosen not to pass that on rather than quietly building it into the price per kilo.

Why the longer run does not hurt the meat

The packaging holds safe temperature for 24 hours in transit and a further 12 hours once delivered, and cryovac sealed beef carries up to 10 weeks of refrigerated shelf life from the packing date. The seal and the cold chain do the work, not the speed of the run.

The practical advice for WA customers is to order larger and less often. A full mixed box every couple of months makes far more sense than small weekly orders, and it is how most of our Perth regulars buy.

Perth, the South West and beyond

Perth metro is the bulk of our Western Australian orders, led by Mount Hawthorn, Middle Swan, Bedford, Yanchep, Karrinyup and Floreat. Down south we deliver to Margaret River, Busselton, Dunsborough and Cowaramup. A number of remote Western Australian postcodes sit outside the courier network, so check at checkout before ordering if you are somewhere further afield.

The full range: 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from Cape Grim, Bass Strait, OBE Organic and Greenham, grain-fed Wagyu from Stone Axe, Shimo, King River and Margaret River Wagyu running MB4 to MB9+, Tasmanian and Victorian lamb, free-range pork and bacon, and a small seafood range.
